FERTILITY ACUPUNCTURE | GOLD COAST

Guide fertility from forecast to flow for calm conception conditions

MOVE WITH THE CURRENT
You’ve completed a Fertility Forecast
Now, you know your body better than ever before.
Trying to conceive begins here.
We track. Adjust. Stay curious.
Always.

Fertility acupuncture
is for you if you:

  • Have completed a Fertility Forecast
  • Are now actively trying to conceive

Welcome to fertility in flow

The groundwork is laid, now we move with you

At Paige Waters Acupuncture, fertility begins at preparing to conceive.

And now that you’ve completed the Fertility Forecast a new phase emerges: trying to conceive.

We take your history into account, move with your cycle, honour your story and support you with personalised treatments every step of the way.

As one change ends, another always arrives

Follicular, ovulatory, luteal and menstrual phases change your inner rhythm.
So our protocols move with you (even when your cycle’s irregular).
We attune to your emotional experience – the weight of actively trying…
And personalise every treatment based on your body’s knowing

We adapt to your tides, never starting from scratch

As an existing Paige Waters Acupuncture client, we know your baseline ‘normal.’

We get your common areas for replenishment. And  understand the depths of your personal, emotional and relational history.

This is how each session picks up where we left off, adapting with the tides, and never starting from scratch.

What if your next fertility chapter could

Improve cycle regularity and balance hormones over time?

Involve better egg quality and uterine lining through consistent treatment?

Bring an air of calmness, with ample support throughout your trying to conceive experience?

Be experienced in a body and mind that feels prepared with each month?

Team with a dedicated guide to answer questions about your specific fertility experience?

Cut out all the noise and provide you with trusted advice tailored to your fertility story?

Replace overthinking and overwhelm with trusting your body’s wisdom and inner knowing?

Our clients words mean everything

I came to see Paige after a particularly bad failed IVF cycle, feeling very low and apprehensive about the journey ahead. She instantly set my mind at ease, took the time to understand me and my history, and answered all of the hundreds of questions I had about the process.”

“From day one, I’ve felt completely held emotionally and physically during what has been such a vulnerable and overwhelming time.”

“Paige (patiently) has worked with me through discovering my fertility obstacles, positive results, negative results, loss of pregnancy and now preparation for a healthy pregnancy.”

“You need someone like her to hold such special space for women on their fertility journeys.”

FAQs

The best place to start is with Fertility Forecast

Fertility Forecast assesses your fertility starting point and treats any applicable areas to support your fertility. IVF is something to discuss with your fertility specialist following this investigation.

The best place to start is with The Search

The Search is where we dive into your infertility causes and complete a deep investigation. Once completed, we can move onto IVF Acupuncture.

Yes, in fact I encourage it.

As a standard, and when relevant, I investigate both male and female fertility.

In my professional experience, I continue to see that a complete picture of both partners’ health leads to more informed treatment and better outcomes.

Technically no (but kind of).

Children aren’t invited into clinic appointments (to ensure your safety and a relaxed experience).

There is a cafe downstairs, so you may also choose to bring a friend or grandparent to keep them company while you relax in your treatment.

Yes. Unexplained infertility is my area of special interest. Through a combination of advanced testing, Traditional Chinese Medicine and functional medicine, we work to uncover what standard investigations may have missed in Fertility Forecast and The Search services.

No referral needed. To get started, book a free 20-minute Connection Call with me (Paige). This will give us a chance to meet, discuss your journey and make sure IVF Acupuncture is right for you. If it’s not, we may point you towards a better fit service, or part ways. No pressure, and no hard feelings.

I’m currently taking bookings one month in advance.

So, as soon as you’re ready to begin, I encourage you to book a Connection Call, or enquire. The sooner you reach out, the sooner your journey starts.

Just yourself and your partner, if applicable.

Eat a light meal beforehand and stay well hydrated. Avoid caffeine and strenuous exercise in the hours before your appointment. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing where possible as most acupuncture points are located on the hands, feet, abdomen and back, so clothing that can be easily moved or rolled up is ideal.

Acupuncture supports fertility by improving blood flow to the reproductive organs, regulating hormones, reducing stress and addressing underlying imbalances that may be affecting conception.

Combined with biomedicine and functional medicine, it offers a whole-body approach to reproductive health.

Where many practitioners offer acupuncture broadly, Paige brings advanced-level training and specialised training to treatments for fertility. This approach combines biomedicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and functional medicine to investigate underlying causes, treat them and adapt to new conditions within the body.

Paige is the only advanced-level fertility acupuncturist on the Gold Coast, and one of two in Queensland. Over the past 14 years she has completed specialised courses from national and international practitioners. She holds a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Masters of Applied Science in Acupuncture. Paige is registered with AHPRA’s Chinese Medicine Board and the Australian Acupuncture Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA). Find more information about Paige’s training here.

A calm, welcoming environment with a focus on personalised care. Every appointment is unhurried, with no surprise charges and a clear, straightforward process from booking through to treatment.

Pricing varies by service and will be discussed during your free 20-minute Connection Call with Paige.

Yes. We have HiCAPS facilities so you can receive your rebate immediately. Item numbers are 103 for an initial consultation and 203 for a follow up consultation. I recommend checking directly with your provider to confirm your level of cover.

Acupuncture is a technique used by Chinese Medicine practitioners. It involves inserting fine, medical-grade, single-use needles into specific points on the body.

These points lie on meridians which connect to internal organs, and can strengthen or reduce energy associated with that organ.

In Chinese Medicine, disease is seen as an imbalance of the energy of the internal organs. Acupuncture works to rectify this imbalance and alleviate disease.

Mostly, it feels relaxing. You very rarely feel the needles being inserted. Once the needle is in the correct position, you may feel a dull ache in the local area. Occasionally a slight sting may be felt, which quickly disappears. For tight muscles, you may feel a sensation of movement or release once the needle is inserted. When moxa is used on the end of a needle, you will feel a gentle warmth.

Usually no, but in some cases it can. Though in a way similar to how a gentle workout hurts.

We use the best quality stainless steel needles to minimise friction and maximise comfort. I also have Japanese style training, which uses a gentler needle technique.

Some discomfort may be felt in areas of muscle tension or if you move once a needle has been inserted, but most clients find acupuncture deeply relaxing.

Chinese medicine is one of the oldest forms of healthcare that exists today. It is based on the theory that our bodies are an integrated energy exchange system between ourselves, each other and the environment.

It encompasses acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy, dietary and lifestyle advice all working together to bring the body into balance and optimal health.

Yes. We use only high quality, medical grade, disposable, single-use stainless steel acupuncture needles from Japan.

Moxibustion involves the burning of a specific herb, mugwort (artemesia vulgaris) to warm and strengthen the body, stimulate blood flow, support digestion and disperse muscle tension.

It can be applied directly to the skin or on the end of a needle. It is extremely safe when performed by a qualified practitioner and has a calming effect. Bonus!

Dry needling is used by physiotherapists, chiropractors and other allied health practitioners for the treatment of local musculoskeletal pain. It also includes inserting needles. While some of these points correlate with acupuncture points, the application is very different.

Dry needling addresses local pain but doesn’t treat internal conditions. Acupuncture addresses the root cause of disease as well as the presenting symptoms. Registered acupuncturists in Australia hold a minimum four year science degree and hundreds of hours of clinical practice. Dry needling courses in Australia currently include approximately 12 hours of practical needling.

This varies depending on your service and where you are in your journey. I will outline a clear and personalised schedule as part of your treatment plan.

Not yet, but watch this space.

Fertility care at Paige Waters Acupuncture is anchored in three things – ancient wisdom, modern research and the real world. We believe that understanding your body from the cells up, combined with the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the context of your everyday life, leads to the most informed and effective care possible.

Yes of course. Having your partner there can be really supportive. I do suggest that they leave the room when you have the ‘rest’ time of the treatment to get the most out of your experience. If the partner you’re bringing is also going to be the biological father, it could be good to make a double appointment. Fertility support is really about both sperm and egg health. Just let me know at the time of booking

Not if performed by a qualified acupuncturist with specific training in early pregnancy support. There are contraindicated acupuncture points for pregnancy. These points should be avoided in the first trimester where possible. Acupuncture can actually be used to support early pregnancy and prevent pregnancy loss and is something I recommend in the first trimester.

Biomedicine informs our testing, diagnosis and understanding of physiology.

Traditional Chinese Medicine guides our treatment approach, cycle awareness and whole-body perspective.

Together they offer a more complete picture than either could alone.

A significant one. Diet, exercise, sleep, stress and relationships all influence fertility and overall wellbeing.

Every treatment plan includes personalised lifestyle recommendations. I believe that acupuncture is one piece of the puzzle, your whole life is the other.

Let’s begin.
