GOLD COAST ACUPUNCTURE

Your compass to the new you

BREAK THE DAWN
Just like the transition from infertile to fertile…
Pregnant to birth… the shift from mother to your new identity is just as momentous.
(Though it is quieter, and so often overlooked.)
Perhaps you’ve been so caught up in everyone else – you are yet to meet this new you.
Let’s change that

If you’re a mother who:

  • Feels like you’ve lost yourself along the way
  • Feels like you don’t know this version of yourself
  • Has neglected your personal health
  • Doesn’t know where to start to look after yourself
  • Isn’t sure if it’s perimenopause or something else
  • Continues to experience hormonal imbalances
  • Has prolonged fatigue, mum rage and cycle irregularities
  • Are ready to value your own health again after prioritising others

Gold Coast acupuncture for self inquiry is for you

(And I cannot wait for you to meet who you’ve become)

Are you gasping for air in the chaos of motherhood?

It began with your whole heart…

Caring for your baby, then a toddler. Becoming a personal chef and full-time cleaner. The mental load, the changing out of new clothes, the milestones and sports and emotional coaching along the way.

Somewhere in there, you may have even had the added pressure of being a supportive partner, an ambitious worker and a compassionate friend/daughter/sibling/dog owner…

Suddenly you realise you’ve been living on crusts and pulling on clothes that function but don’t necessarily feel like ‘you’. But who is she?

You cannot pour from an empty cup

You’ve heard it before. We both have. And maybe you just rolled your eyes.

Though we know it’s true, and despite feelings of selfishness or guilt…

You know as well as me, that the time is well and truly here to find yourself

(Not in a woo woo way – well kind of – but also in a deeply personal and very real way)

Through acupuncture and tailored care, it’d be my absolute privilege to

support rediscovering your identity, body and wellbeing.

Motherhood changes you, but who have you changed to?

“I used to be fun” you think to yourself. Or while driving you catch an old memory float into your mind.

The kind of style you wore, the adventures or cosy times at home with nowhere to be and no one to answer to…

You love your life now, don’t get me wrong. But you kind of felt like you’d get back to who you were, in a way. But that time just hasn’t come yet, and now you’re in this limbo of who you want to be in this world… and how the heck do you find out?

Imagine if this next version of you began with

  • Intentionally creating a clear sense of identity
  • Reconnecting with your body, so it feels like yours again
  • Restored confidence that comes from being cared for
  • A renewed sense of value for yourself, your wants, needs and dreams for what’s next

Hi, I’m Paige

FORMALLY TRAINED ACUPUNCTURIST | CHINESE MEDICINE TRAINED | MOTHER

My introduction to motherhood was messy. I felt so totally out of my depth from the word go. My support network wasn’t as strong as I had hoped, I struggled deeply with the sleep deprivation and as a business owner I felt I’d lost who I was entirely.

Looking back, I hit the ground running, trying to chase down the old version of myself. Who I used to be known as and how I navigated the world… my interests and hobbies.

But it was all absolutely unsuccessful. I could never become who I was, because what took me so long to realise was – when I birthed my daughter, I birthed a new version of myself too. One that needed a formal introduction. To honour the old version of myself and welcome the new.

Two daughters in and a few years down the track I realised I’d never really done this. I’d never really listened to who I’d become and made space to do so intentionally – I’d love to hold this space for you.

What if this is not about returning to who you were…
But becoming who you were always meant to be?

Let’s discover the new version of you

FAQs

This service is designed for women navigating the transition from mother to a new version of self.

It acknowledges that postpartum is not just a physical recovery, it is an identity shift. Treatment supports hormonal health, emotional wellbeing and a renewed sense of self beyond motherhood.

Technically no (but kind of).

Children aren’t invited into clinic appointments (to ensure your safety and a relaxed experience).

There is a cafe downstairs, so you may also choose to bring a friend or grandparent to keep them company while you relax in your treatment.

No referral needed. To get started, book a free 20-minute Connection Call with me (Paige). This will give us a chance to meet, discuss your journey and make sure IVF Acupuncture is right for you. If it’s not, we may point you towards a better fit service, or part ways. No pressure, and no hard feelings.

Eat a light meal beforehand and stay well hydrated. Avoid caffeine and strenuous exercise in the hours before your appointment. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing where possible as most acupuncture points are located on the hands, feet, abdomen and back, so clothing that can be easily moved or rolled up is ideal.

I combine biomedicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and functional medicine to treat the body and mind. I am deeply committed to working with you as a whole person, from scientific and relational angles. Full family wellbeing is incredibly important to me and I believe it is a main predictor for the long-term health of the family unit. If you feel you have put yourself to the side for some time and are ready to fully embrace a new version of yourself (even if it terrifies you!), I would love to be that dedicated guide for you.

A calm, welcoming environment with a focus on personalised care. Every appointment is unhurried, with no surprise charges and a clear, straightforward process from booking through to treatment.

Pricing varies by service and will be discussed during your free 20-minute Connection Call.

Acupuncture is a technique used by Chinese Medicine practitioners. It involves inserting fine, medical-grade, single-use needles into specific points on the body.

These points lie on meridians which connect to internal organs, and can strengthen or reduce energy associated with that organ.

In Chinese Medicine, disease is seen as an imbalance of the energy of the internal organs. Acupuncture works to rectify this imbalance and alleviate disease.

Mostly, it feels relaxing. You very rarely feel the needles being inserted. Once the needle is in the correct position, you may feel a dull ache in the local area. Occasionally a slight sting may be felt, which quickly disappears. For tight muscles, you may feel a sensation of movement or release once the needle is inserted. When moxa is used on the end of a needle, you will feel a gentle warmth.

Usually no, but in some cases it can. Though in a way similar to how a gentle workout hurts.

We use the best quality stainless steel needles to minimise friction and maximise comfort. I also have Japanese style training, which uses a gentler needle technique.

Some discomfort may be felt in areas of muscle tension or if you move once a needle has been inserted, but most clients find acupuncture deeply relaxing.

Chinese medicine is one of the oldest forms of healthcare that exists today. It is based on the theory that our bodies are an integrated energy exchange system between ourselves, each other and the environment.

It encompasses acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy, dietary and lifestyle advice all working together to bring the body into balance and optimal health.

Yes. We use only high quality, medical grade, disposable, single-use stainless steel acupuncture needles from Japan.

Moxibustion involves the burning of a specific herb, mugwort (artemesia vulgaris) to warm and strengthen the body, stimulate blood flow, support digestion and disperse muscle tension.

It can be applied directly to the skin or on the end of a needle. It is extremely safe when performed by a qualified practitioner and has a calming effect. Bonus!

Dry needling is used by physiotherapists, chiropractors and other allied health practitioners for the treatment of local musculoskeletal pain. It also includes inserting needles. While some of these points correlate with acupuncture points, the application is very different.

Dry needling addresses local pain but doesn’t treat internal conditions. Acupuncture addresses the root cause of disease as well as the presenting symptoms. Registered acupuncturists in Australia hold a minimum four year science degree and hundreds of hours of clinical practice. Dry needling courses in Australia currently include approximately 12 hours of practical needling.

This varies depending on your service and where you are in your journey. I will outline a clear and personalised schedule as part of your treatment plan.

Not yet, but watch this space.

Let’s nurture the new dawn.
